Summary on MUMSU Bowling Night

Bowling

To all those who are not aware of our Bowling Night, this is basically a summary of our event.

A total of 33 of us were there for the MUMSU Bowling Night, which was held at AMF Bowling Centre in Chadstone. We occupied 6 lanes and played a total of 2 games, which took us about 2 hours.

It was a really fun night to begin with. A lot of interesting actions were involved, fancy style, cool spins and brute strength were among them. Besides, there were lots of cheering for the STRIKES and SPARES. Although there were quite a number of gutter balls too, everyone enjoyed the night and had good fun among themselves.

Some of us did quite well as newbies and some showed impressive results too. Here are the results (not all of them of course :) ) of the three overall top scores for both male and female categories.

Male Category

1st Place : Kevin Kam (162 points)
2nd Place : Kor Chun Liang (146 points)
3rd Place : Daniel Lim (127 points)

Female Category

1st Place : Tricia Au-Yong (108 points)
2nd Place : Cyndi Lim (96 points)
3rd Place : Myra (93 points)

Congratulations to these high scorers!! Although this event is not a competition or anything like that, these people deserve a pat on their shoulder for their effort and their performance.

Finally, we would like to thank all of you who turned up and supported our bowling night. Without you guys, our event would not be as fun as it could be like last night.

We hope that those of you who missed out on the bowling night would not hesitate to participate in our future events, as there will still be lotsa fun and exciting activities to come :)

Updates on MUMSU Bowling Night

To those who have already signed up for the bowling night, please be informed that the bowling event is on this Thursday, 29th March 2007, from 7pm - 9pm, at AMF Bowling Centre in Chadstone (AMF is just downstairs, below Borders).

To those who are going, please be there before 7pm so that we could start on time, as you would surely need time in selecting the appropriate shoe for yourselves.

Some of our committee members would be taking the bus from Monash Uni bus loop to Chadstone. We will be boarding the 900 bus from Rowville to Caulfield, at exactly 6.34pm if there is no delay. So, those who want to tag along with us, please be there at least 5 minutes before the departure time.

Finally, as a kind reminder, if you are planning to play, please bring a pair of socks, otherwise you would need to buy it from the bowling centre :) .

Daylight Savings

To those who have no idea what daylight saving is all about, it’s basically about advancing your clocks so that evenings have more daylight and mornings have less.

So, remember to adjust your clock one hour backwards, (e.g. if the time now is 9am, you adjust it back to 8am) so that you have the right time. You don’t want to be an hour early for class on Monday :)

Reminder: MUMSU Bowling Night

This is a reminder to all of you that we’ll be organizing a bowling night this coming Thursday at Chadstone.

Date: 29th March 2007 (it’s next Thursday)
Time: 7pm - 9pm
Venue: AMF Bowling Centre, Chadstone
Cost: $10 per person which includes 2 games & rental of shoes (it’s so really cheap as normal rate is $10 each game)

To those who are interested and still haven’t signed up for the event, we urge you to do it as soon as possible as seats are limited to only 30 places. We will be at our booth in front of STA Travel in the campus centre between 12pm - 2pm throughout the week.

To those who need help in getting there or you are unfamiliar with the place, don’t worry about that. You can meet up with our friendly committee at the Monash bus loop, and we could take a bus together from there. There will be buses from Chadstone back to Clayton up till midnight, so don’t worry about not being able to get back.

MUMSU Bowling Night

To those who are looking forward to some fun and interactive activities by MUMSU, you won’t be disappointed as we would be organizing a bowling night next week.

Date: 29th March 2007 (it’s next Thursday)
Time: 7pm - 9pm
Venue: AMF Bowling Centre, Chadstone

Brute strength, beautiful spin, super cool style… All these do not really matter, cause the main purpose of the event is to have fun among yourselves. So, don’t feel shy to participate even if you are not good at it (I only know to use brute strength :) )

If you are free that night and have nothing else to do, come along and join in the fun. Those who are interested in going, come on and sign up for the event at our booth in front of STA Travel. There are limited places for this event. Only 30 seats would be available, so be there early and grab your place. We will be at our booth between 12pm - 2pm throughout this week.

To those who need help in getting there or you are unfamiliar with the place, don’t worry about that. You can meet up with our friendly committee at the Monash bus loop, and we could take a bus together from there. Updates on Easter Camp Seats

After going through a meeting on whether to extend the amount of seats for the Easter Camp, we ended with a conclusion that we will not be able to do that.

We are sorry to inform those who are still in the waiting list, that there are no more seats available as all the tickets are completely sold out.

Don’t be troubled with it, as we would be organizing many more fun events throughout the year. Just remember to sign up fast in the future to be able to participate in all our events.

MUMSU Easter Camp - Sold Out!

Thank you very much for all the great support! Our MUMSU Easter Camp tickets have all been taken in the short week of going on sales.

As a result of that, we will not be having our booth on Monday 19th March. However, if you are still interested to go, stay tuned to our announcement. We are currently considering the possibility of increasing the amount of seats to accomodate to more. An announcement will likely to be sent on Monday night to finalize the details.

Thank you.
